100% pure beeswax pillar candles burn brighter, cleaner, hotter, and longer than those made from paraffin wax, a waste product of petroleum refining that contains up to 11 toxic compounds and chemicals, including benzene and toluene. The toxic fumes and soot released from burning paraffin wax candles are identical to those found in diesel exhaust fumes.
